    Wow

Boy is this year flying by so quickly it seems that I've not been able to get to the puter to update it as much as I'd like to
Partly because I've been spending too much time on FaceBook & starting to try out Twitter but also because
live has gotten rather busy on the new homestead with the season change & getting more of the house into proper order as we discover more items needing to be repaired & adjusted

Tree Limbs needing to be cut up so it can be firewood this winter

If anyone knows what type of flowers these are I'd love to know so drop a comment
Our front lawn seating area with one of the bird feeders in view
It's going to be at least a year before we've got our yard & gardens in the shape that our neighbors have but at least we're giving it a try
    Anyone want to nominate us for the DIY Network's "Desparate Landscapes" show? I'm certain our neighbors would be happy if we were picked for a yard makeover (0;}

I found this on the Glenn Beck website while I was looking for a Twitter link so I could figure out which Glenn Beck is the actual Twitter that Glenn Beck is using

It seems that with all of the tech stuff people have lost the ideas of critical thinking & the enjoyment of political cartoons that make you stop & think – I do enjoy this cartoonists work now that I’ve come across him

I do wonder why is it that Obama feels that our nation is the one who needs to do anything for any country? Is he believing the savior hype in the press?

In light of the recent events in the news, shootings, suicides & all the job layoffs which were at the background of those shootings - I’d much rather Obama concentrate upon our nations problems than sticking the USA into the middle of world crap

    Bob's "Discount"Furniture Store - Ripped Off = Feelings Great Dis-Satisfaction

Below is the email exchange between Bob's Discount Furniture Store after we received our very expensive mattress set to see "price tags" showing a much lower price although they claim it's not a price tag that we're looking at everyone who has seen the tags clearly sees the Dollar & Cents formatting that other stores use - check the pictures & judge for yourself & consider carefully if shopping at this chain is going to be worth the risk - if they'll openly show a lower price once the item is in the home & not correct it, who knows if they'll bother to honor their warranty later on down the road

    ___$$$______$$$$______

    Hi AskBob & Kim;
For future reference please consider changing the format of the delivery tickets because everyone who has seen the tickets is under the same impression that we are that there is an overcharge because it's written on the tickets in a Dollars & Cents format very predominately for people to see in bold rather than the usual small coded print companies use for their computer tracking for ordering & records by retailers
who knows who else has seen such "instructions" & just decided they'd just not shop Bob's again rather than ask for an explanation - I do know that a couple of people who said to us that we shouldn't shop there any more because of the "overcharge"
we hope that you'll consider changing those tickets because of all the confusion & bad feelings that they create

Thank you for including the pictures. I have spoken with the president of King Koil who manufactures this line and confirmed that the numbers you are referring to are not prices. The first picture is of your queen mattress. The 295 indicates that this was the 295th mattress manufactured out of the 511 produced that day. The 99 indicates which distribution truck it was loaded onto.

The second picture is of your queen foundation. The 357 indicates that this was the 357th foundation produced out of the 511 foundations produced that day. Your foundation was also loaded onto the same "99th" distribution truck.

After thoroughly reviewing your invoice, it has been determined that you paid the discounted package price of $999 for the Black Label sleep set. The Euro top mattress has a retail value of $849. The foundation has a retail value of $249.

I can assure you that you were not overcharged for your merchandise.

    Hi Ask Bob & Kim;
Our son A who is in the Navy stationed in California got for us as a house warming gift for our 1st home a gift certificate for $1,200.00 in hopes of buying us a brand new bedroom set since we'd sacrificed so much raising him & his sister & her son - always having used furniture for ourselves making certain that the children had what they needed growing up - he & my husband planned the surprise delivery of the gift card to me
When I spoke to A to tell him Thank You & that the mattress was going to be delivered he was disappointed to learn that he wasn't able to have purchased an entire bedroom set for us - A didn't realize that the sets online don't come with the mattresses included in the price & he knew that we'd given our bed set to our daughter  L when we moved all of our stuff into storage for the months as we prepared for the home buying process - anyway it took longer to get to closing than planned so with that extra time our new furniture budget went out of the window due to our extra living expenses but we were finally able to close on Dec 31st 2008 & we moved into our 1st home to go to sleep on a low air mattress until tonight when we'll finally get to sleep on a real mattress
The delivery guys were great = in & out quickly; even helping my husband to get our bed frame put together because he was having just a bit of trouble getting the end pieces to fit so when the young man handed me the phone for the survey I was more than happy to press 1 for happy with their service
I called the customer service phone number shortly afterwards & left a message because the service center was closed & then onto the website because it was a bit upsetting that the salesgirl charged us $999 plus 6% sales tax for our mattress set & $69 plus tax for our mattress pad warranty protection with the addition of the delivery charge of $59 which I'm uncertain if that was taxed or not for a total charge on the gift card $1,195.67 leaving us with a balance of $4.33 store credit on account for us from the gift card from A.
To say that we felt that we had been cheated is a big understatement to see we were overcharged by more than a little bit when seeing the price tags on both the mattress & foundation were much less (to the tune of almost $345 plus the additional sales tax) just really left both my husband & myself with a bad & disappointed feeling about the purchase, had we been given the correct sales prices we could've purchased either the bedside tables or living room tables I had been looking at or another piece of furniture for our home
We'd like the price difference with the tax to be credited & added to the $4.33 currently on account for us at the store, we were ok with the fact that we had to wait 4 days for delivery rather than the TV advertised delivery of 3 Days or less but to have those price tags glaring at us 1st thing in the morning; well like stated above it just leaves a bad & disappointed & cheated feeling with our family & puts a bit of a damper on our son's gift giving - A could've inquired how to give us the Gift Certificate from another company where we have a membership but A choose Bob's instead because he knew that delivery would be faster & he wanted us to be able to enjoy sleeping on a new bed room set in days rather than the weeks which it would've taken had he given us the gift certificate for the other store since they have to order everything
As you can see in the pictures the sales prices on the price tags are much less than what we were charged, & they're still in place on the mattress & foundation only covered up by the bed covers since I've made the bed
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter & we hope that our family will be able to continue to do business with Bob's Furniture in the future

[Fwd: Stop CT's Same-Sex "Marriage" Bill!]

Template This could be coming to a state near you!
If you're in CT speak up & take action
If you're located in another state you should look around for your state's version of this group including a call to this one if you need to find out where the local or state office of such an organization is located, many agencies have lists of the places in other states - it's bad enough that divorces are too easy to get in our states but we must also look beyond & speak up as marriage as a whole comes under attack & we're being silenced to be able to speak up about what God's laws say in regards to Marriage = 1 Man + 1 Woman for Life Until Death Do They Part

    Stop CT's Same-Sex "Marriage" Bill!

Last year, the Connecticut Supreme Court ignored the express will of the legislature and of the people by imposing same-sex "marriage" by judicial force.
Yesterday, a bill was referred to the Judiciary Committee to codify this outrage.

But S.B. 899 goes beyond mere legislative housekeeping. Section 17 of the bill would repeal a state law protecting public policy on a wide range of moral issues.
A repeal of this law could be read to mean that the State of Connecticut
    1) condones homosexuality or bisexuality or any equivalent lifestyle,
    2) authorizes the promotion of homosexuality or bisexuality in educational institutions or requires the teaching in educational institutions of homosexuality or bisexuality as an acceptable lifestyle,
    3) authorizes or permits the use of numerical goals or quotas, or other types of affirmative action programs, with respect to homosexuality or bisexuality in the administration or enforcement of non-discrimination laws and
    4) establishes sexual orientation as a specific and separate cultural classification in society.

The law targeted by Section 17 explicitly states that Connecticut's non-discrimination laws cannot be construed to support same-sex "marriage" or the four items listed above.
We must amend Section 17 to salvage that law and stop the pro same-sex "marriage" agenda from being forced on children in the public schools!

We also need to amend S.B 899 to strengthen the statute protecting religious liberty from the same-sex "marriage" agenda (Sec. 46a-81p).
The redefinition of marriage in Massachusetts has led to attacks on religious freedom,
while in Connecticut Justices of the Peace have been told they must perform same-sex "weddings".
Given the radical nature of this new same-sex "marriage" bill, further attacks on liberty and conscience are likely.

We cannot wait for those attacks to begin.
We must strike now, while this bill is going through the legislative process!

If we fail to amend this bill, it will be a serious setback to any effort to take marriage back from the courts and restore to the people their right to decide the issue.

Here are four ways that you can help amend this bill and give FIC Action a fighting chance to restore marriage in Connecticut:

    1) Use our Grassroots Action Center to send an e-mail directly to the Judiciary Committee by clicking on the link at the bottom of this message.
We have provided some basic points, but please either put the message in your own words or add a brief introduction and conclusion!
Personalized messages have a much greater impact.

Let our legislators know that you support marriage, not its redefinition—and that you want SB 899 amended!

    2) Be prepared to testify at the public hearing on SB 899. We do not yet know when the hearing will be.
The Judiciary Committee's co-chairmen must give at least five days notice and they typically try to keep the public in the dark for as long as they can.
The five-day countdown will likely include Saturday and Sunday and will put the hearing on a day when Christians are distracted (Ash Wednesday, St. Patrick's Day, etc.).
Now is the time to prepare a two or three minute testimony and alert others to do likewise.
If our opponents think it is in their best interest to rush this bill through then the hearing could happen very soon.

    3) Click here to donate to the Family Institute of Connecticut Action.
FIC Action, the lobbying arm of Connecticut's pro-family movement, is your eyes and ears at the state Capitol.
Your support allows us to continue to be your voice for faith and family.

    4) Forward this message to every like-minded state resident you know and ask them to do likewise.
And watch for more information on FIC Action's 2009 Pro-Family Rally and Lobby Day.

Paper Snow Flake Cutting - Video

Paper Snow Flake Cutting - Video

Grandchildren are great - they keep you young & thinking - Wow it was so much fun yesterday to be working with Baby Genius trying to recall how to make paper snowflakes

I ended up going online to find directions since our cutouts were fun designs but very NOT Snow Flakes

Well to make paper snow flakes we did a search & found this picture description site with good pictures Picture Instructions for Making Paper Snow Flakes

In this day of video games & electronic gadgets of all kinds that keep the children from having imaginations I'm so glad that my 8 yr old G-son is still able to get excited about making items with pipe-cleaners & paper & scissors after we decorated our little tabletop tree from the Dollar Tree store - we used tiny candycanes for most of the decorations but also had some tiny balls & a mini-gold star & gold string to wrap around so even though it may look like we're going to be stuck in the hotel instead of our new home due to this mortgage company screwing up so badly that who knows exactly when we'll get to closing we'll at least have a tree to celebrate with here in the room

    God's Blessings

Rather interesting how so many of us take our lives for granted & fail to recognize God's Blessings as they're in front of us until suddenly they're no longer there

Our Health - did we Thank God every morning when we woke up & fell out of bed to crawl off to get ready for work or did we give God no thought & just rush off? Will it require the doctor telling us that we have some fatal disease before we start to be thankful for all of the good health that we had in the past or will we curse God for plaguing us with some disease that most likely we brought upon ourselves with the very unhealthy lifestyles that we lead now in the 21st century?

Our Family - did we Thank God for our family near & far? Yeah that son may have broken your heart or your daughter pissed you off or your mother, father, sister or your brother or wife or husband gotten on your nerves, treated you wrong or offended you in some way but consider this - at least they're alive to be able to do any of that - how many people would love to be in your position but can't be because those people are missing from their lives due to death so another argument isn't possible?

So consider God's Blessings in your life even if the only Blessing that you can possibly think of at the moment is that you're alive to be able to suffer

Wireless Internet Connections NetBooks vs Notebooks vs DeskTops

Well I'm not very computer savvy but these last few months I've been using Wireless Internet connections to get online with my desk top computer my husband built for me & have discovered the following...

    1) dragging a desk top to different locations is quite a pain in the butt but can be done using a wheeled container to make it easier to get across the floors etc but having a laptop would most certainly be easier to do -

    2) I don't know much about NetBooks which is basically a stripped down NoteBook just smaller & lighter & limited in features but I saw one for the 1st time in Oct over at Target for only $299 & being so small & it's claiming that I'll be able to access IM programs & Skype so I'm very tempted to pick one up for Christmas since it's small enough that it'll fit into one of my many purses & is about as heavy as one of my bibles but much thinner

    3) I'm wondering just how much different & most importantly easy will it be to be able to use the Linux OS which is on the NetBooks that are available at Target compared to the Windows OS that I'm so used to working with all of these years - I mean "Geeks" all say on those forums how great Linux is but they really know computers but a regular person like me doesn't know all of that stuff & if something goes wrong? No one I personally knows uses anything other than Windows because that's what they have on their computers at home & work & the instant messenger programs that we use

    4) I'm also wondering if I were to get a NetBook just how easy will it be to upgrade the memory so that as I get stuff online while I'm out I'll be able to use that information on my home Windows DeskTops? I mean the sales guy was showing me some little doodads that plug into the NetBook that I saw on the movie The Hulk 2 but like I said I'm not tech savvy to know just how those things work & would information stored on those things would be transferable to the DeskTop?

How do we handle Disappointments in Life?

Today is quite disappointing for me & my family - this was supposed to be a weekend full of celebrations as we move into our 1st home but closing will not be happening early as we thought it might & from the sounds of it won't be happening even as it's contracted to

Waiting for the seller's bank to give it's final written approval for the sale to close is quite aggravating & slightly scary after we've spent so much of our time money & energy into buying this house to not yet have our keys in hand & cooking in our own full kitchen is almost disheartening but I refuse to get depressed about it or angry because it won't do any good to do either

So what am I doing - well I'm writing this here to vent & think about how is it that we handle disappointments?

Many of us get angry & mad & fussing but in the end unless the person who you are complaining to has the power to make the needed change what good does it do? Does the person who you're complaining to even care? Most likely not but they're listening so they can feel better about their own pitiful life & waiting for you to shut up so they can tell you all about the wrongs in their own lives.

Does crying help? not really unless you count the release of tears as a stress reliever but it does nothing to actually correct the problem, so if you're going to cry go ahead let the tears flow but keep from getting depressed about it & DO Something about the problem.

Me what am I doing about the disappointment that I'm facing today - well I asked my realtor to ask the selling agent if during the time period that the sellers & their bank are doing the "work out" paperwork so that they're not losing so much money on the sale of the house to us if we could just go ahead & move in.

Since the sellers are out of the house & contracted to sell to us if we'd be able to move into the house during their time of paperwork & the "rent" that we pay into escrow during the time that they're doing the work out process is applied towards the purchase price.

Realtor said he's heard of such being done so he'll ask the seller's agent if that might be something for us all to consider

if their bank approves of it & that will be a win win for all of us - the empty house won't be empty any longer so no more risk of break in, vandalism or frozen pipes (with the nights getting cold & not much oil in the tank) & it'll certainly cut down on our expenses of hotels while we're waiting for closing.

Being in our new home while they're doing their work out they can take all winter to get us to closing if they want but we'll get to spend the holidays in our new home & when we do get to closing we'll have even more money towards the purchase price so in affect less of a mortgage to pay in the long run

It doesn't hurt to ask, all they can do is say no but they just might say yes & right now that's what I'm going to pray for & I'm hoping that you will join me in that prayer so that we can have our house for the holidays, the sellers can have less expense & pressure upon them, & even CitiMortgage won't lose out so much either & the poor bank worker can have a little bit more breathing room

    11/5/2008

    History has been made

Although I'm not a supporter of Obama's campaign
As a Black Woman it is quite a mixed feeling as I've been watching all ofthe TV coverge of the victory for Obama's winning the presidential elections across the country

I recall the White Only signs of my childhood & the aweful day that Martin Luther King was killed which was quite a frightening experience as a child not understanding what was going on & in my lifetime to actually se a malato man become elected president even though he was clearly dark complected & outrightly admitting to his 1/2 black heritage - so in that respect I do feel a sort of pride in how far we as Americans have come

On the other hand as a Christian I am deeply saddened that so many who are professing to be Christians have left God at home when they went to the voting booths & simply cast a vote for Obama without realizing that to do so is voting in all sorts of evil for America because Obama's an appeaser who will go for the easy way out in terms of the mass murder of infants, allowing for more of our jobs to leave the country & never mind protecting the American workers whose jobs have already been lost & he's already stated that he intends to bankrupt the coal burning power plants yet the states that are major coal producers blindly elected Obama - the list can go on & on  all I can say as I told my 2 adult children - the country has gotten the judgement that has been predicted & that government that it deserves for not considering just what they were saying yes to & double check everything & use discernment when watching the news & expand where they're getting news reports & most importantly carefully & sparingly spend their money because times are only going get tougher

URGENT: Vote YES on Question 1

We may be on the verge of a historic victory tomorrow. The Hartford Courant's UConn poll says that 50% of state voters plan to vote yes on Question 1 for a constitutional convention. Considering how CT voters have been repeatedly subjected to the "Vote No" side's million dollar smear campaign, 50% is a very high number.

But "50%" still means the vote could go either way! And the Vote No campaign will likely have paid employees at all the polling places tomorrow to sway undecided voters against a yes vote! In fact, they are making "robo-calls" to every voter right now to stop our right to let the people decide!

Our friends at the CT Constitution Convention Campaign are urgently requesting our help to secure a yes vote on Question 1. Here's what we can do.

    1) Can you volunteer to hold a "Vote Yes on Question 1" sign at a polling place tomorrow?  If your answer is YES then please click here to Volunteer.

    2) We can counter the "Vote No" robo-calls by email blasts to all our email lists.  Please forward this or one of FIC's previous e-mails to EVERYONE on your email lists.  When you talk to someone today, ask them to do the same.  Let's put a blanket of emails over CT. Tell everyone you know to vote "YES" on Question 1 to protect marriage and to bring balance of power back to the people. We can’t miss this opportunity for CHANGE. Please email as many Connecticut voters as possible.

    3) Forward "Vote Yes" videos to your friends and family. The CT Catholic Conference has a great VOTE "YES" Commercial on QUESTION 1. Please view it here and email it to your entire email list. FIC executive director Peter Wolfgang debated CT Atty. Gen. Richard Blumenthal on Fox 61 about the constitutional convention and Blumenthal's lackluster defense of Connecticut's marriage laws. View the debate here (click on "The Real Story: So, what is a Constitutional Convention?") and forward it to everyone on your list.

    4) View the NEW voter info Flyer that can be downloaded here.  This can be given to anyone as a simple explanation as to why they should VOTE 'YES" on Question 1.  Please feel free to make as many copies as you want and give them out at the polls.  The voters need this information to make the right decision.

    5) Please click here to donate to the Family Institute of Connecticut. Our friends at the Vote Yes campaign made their urgent request to us because they know how pivotal FIC members can be to the success of this effort. And so do our foes! Just consider Peggy Shorey, the union activist heading the Vote No campaign. Every time she opens her mouth in public, she says three things: a noun, a verb and "Peter Wolfgang." FIC appreciates the real compliments from our friends and the backhanded ones from our foes. But we can only play the role that the good guys expect—and the bad guys fear—if we have your support. Can you please donate $50, $100 or $250 today to help us fight for faith, family and freedom in Connecticut? Or, if God has blessed you with the means to do so, could you please donate $500, $1,000 or $2,500 to help us protect our most cherished values here in the state where we live and work?

Please pray for an historic victory tomorrow. And may God bless you for your efforts.

Traveling Light on Wings & a Prayer

This is turning into quite an adventure - one that I would've preferred not to have taken but one that I'm getting back to enjoying the wonder of how God shows Himself in our lives even when we're not looking for Him & in moments when He may seem distant He Is in Fact There & even answering prayers that you forgot that you prayed a month ago

Sometimes it's hard to hear from God because we've got too much noise in our lives around us to hear what God is telling us, Thankfully for us He's got much more patience than we humans have & He'll keep on whispering & encouraging & talking to us until we do finally hear His Voice.

Sometimes for many it's not until the very end that they perceive that God was there all along & talking to them but they were too busy with life to hear & really listen. For some others they were blessed at birth to be able to hear His voice all along & never could imagine a day without having an actual talk with God. For way too many they hear but choose to ignore His voice which is a shame because when we listen & do what he says our lives do for the most part go more smoothly - yes we may be persecuted for doing what's right in the eyes of the Lord but we can face that trial knowing that we've done nothing that is wrong & we'll have an eternal reward in the end.

God has blessed me by answering a prayer that my husband who wasn't taught all that he should have been as a child & young man, for Byron to start learning & stepping up to the plate & start being the husband that God wants him to be - well I'm seeing God working as I type, slowly just as a flower grows under ground unseen God is working on Byron as well making small changes here & there but changes none the less it might take a life changing event for Byron to fully blossom but in time he will

    Dear Friend,

Just last month, the first "homosexual marriage" licenses were handed out here in California following a 4-3 California Supreme Court decision declaring an open-ended right to marriage under the state Constitution.

This arrogant act of judicial tyranny could create a ripple effect that threatens marriage from sea to shining sea.

If this decision is allowed to stand, the liberal Congress would feel emboldened to legalize "homosexual marriage" nationally. Liberal activist judges would be given cover to overturn the will of the people defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

Already, homosexual groups estimate that over 68,000 people from across the country will travel to California to take advantage of "homosexual marriage." The result? A legal crisis over whether many states -- maybe even yours -- will be forced to accept California "marriages" as legitimate.

The outcome of this fight in California may determine the fate of traditional marriage in America.

Fortunately, you and I have a chance to put a stop to this assault on traditional marriage. Thanks to a groundswell of public support from 1.1 million Californians who signed our petition, ProtectMarriage.com has placed the California Marriage Amendment on the November ballot. The Amendment would restore the traditional definition of marriage, overturning this activist court decision for good.

This is a fight we must win -- and winning won't be easy. Passing the California Marriage Amendment in the most expensive state in the country will require at least $15 million for TV, radio, and Internet advertisements, against a ruthless, determined opposition.

Will you join in this historic fight with your contribution of $250, $100, $50, or even $35?

If this radical agenda is allowed to prevail here in California, there's no telling how far and how fast the assault on traditional marriage would spread. The threat is no longer hypothetical. It is happening right here and right now, and this is our moment to act.

Just think of the impact on our children if this decision is allowed to stand. Under California law, schoolchildren as young as kindergarten would be taught that ?homosexual marriage? is the same as traditional marriage. This means that marriage -- the cornerstone of our society for thousands of years -- would be rendered effectively meaningless.

This is why we need you to join in this fight.

Unfortunately, we can't count on the same virtually unlimited resources available to the homosexual groups and their Hollywood friends. They will say and do anything to stop the California Marriage Amendment.

The reality is that to win, we must overcome left-wing billionaires, Hollywood money, and a liberal media which holds our traditional values in contempt.

Victory in California will take nothing short of a groundswell of support from concerned citizens like you, who rise up and say "Enough!" to this brazen attack on marriage.

Will you give what you can now, and send this email to 10 family and friends alerting them to this nationwide emergency?

This truly is a battle of historic proportions -- the first campaign of its kind to reverse an outrageous act of judicial overreach against marriage.

We can't afford to have you stay on the sidelines. Please join the ProtectMarriage.com campaign to preserve traditional marriage today.

    Very urgently yours,

    Ron Prentice
    Chairman

P.S. Unfortunately, there are other organizations that may try to use this crisis for their own fundraising purposes. Please rest assured that the legal sponsors of the California Marriage Amendment have designated ProtectMarriage.com as the official campaign committee for all donations in support of the Amendment. Re: Question for those of you who have "been there".

What they are doing is adding to the scripture to fit their own needs & wants - to reflect their will instead of the will of God as laid out in scriptures for us

If they don't want to get into the idea of the difference of what was being taught to the jewish people in Matthew & from the 2 scriptures in Mark & Luke which were being written to congregations of both jews & gentiles that those 2 last scriptures don't mention the "exception clause" but do confirm the idea that to marry a divorced woman is adultery -

Your repsonse should be addressing the scripture in Context Properly without adding anything but only just what the scripture quoting Jesus has to say in his own words & therefore in red in those bibles which put the words of Jesus in red -

the "exception clause" only gives the right to Divorce but it does NOT give the RIGHT to REMARRY

to say that it gives the right to ReMarry when Jesus says that to Marry a Divorcee is to Commit Adultery clearly shows that Jesus is saying the Covenant is Still in Place because if it was in fact "as if you never married" then Jesus wouldn't have said to marry such a person is Adultery &

1st Cor 7:10-11 confirm that our option is to STAY SINGLE or RECONCILE - Paul addresses Marrieds in the 7th chapter & then goes on to speak about the Widows & then Singles people who were Never Married even saying that to be Single as he was single was the best way to live because theres no one else to answer to

Relealize that by asking them to read out loud the scriptures they have to hear what the Word is actually saying & then point out that the 1 scripture in Mathew is the only one to give the "right" to divorce but doesn't say it's ok to ReMarry in fact the very next verses state the very opposite to be true -  all of the scriptures say to marry a divorcee is Adultery - there can only be Adultery if there is a Marriage that is Recognized by God so the marriage in God's eyes is still in place & Fully Recognized -

the only way that this man in your church  is free to Marry Another is IF his wife had been previously Married to a Single Man  or a Widowed Man & that man is still living because then she would have a Covenant Marriage with that other man rather than your fellow church member who wants to be able to go out & pleasure himself in Legalized Adultery rather than living holy & waiting until God deals with his wife & sends her back home

The Word is Sharper than a 2 Edged Sword & it's due to that cutting that people will argue with you & try to bully you to their way of thinking or censor you because they want their ears tickled rather than hold to sound teaching - 2nd Tim speaks of this generation doing just this because they're seekers of pleasures rather than wanting to please God

Many of us have had some experience with those non-covenant groups or support prayer calls who will fight tooth & nail to keep anyone from bringing up the scriptures that speak to them about their Stand for 2nd or 3rd Marriages (some even higher numbers have been rumored like standing for a 5th husband while the covenant 1st husband is still living) is very wrong & they will loudly protest & pray against those who are in fact teaching the truth of the matter as bringing ungodly strife into their midst

Many will use the woman at the well who had 5 husbands & the one that she was with was not her husband as their excuse to be remarried failing to recognize that it doesn't actually go into any detail about those husbands yes the chances that she was divorced is highly likely but the focus of the sin that she was currently in is the fact that the man that she was married to Was NOT her husband in this day & age of so many single mothers shacking up & employment options being much less in those days I've always intrepreted that scripture to read the well woman was also Shacking Up With the Man she was living with, because this woman was ostrasized(sp) & this was why she was out in the middle of the day at the well instead of going out in the morning when the rest of the women in the villiage would normally go so that she wouldn't be subject to their taunts & jeers, but recently it was pointed out another possible view that this woman very well could've been shacking up with a very married man with a living wife in the village but they didn't have the stoning law for adultery being samaratins

Older people will recall that in the days of their youth the churches did not allow divorced people to remarry in their churches & it was a scandal for such to happen but with the advent of No Fault divorce spreading from cali like wild fire across the nation the churches were at risk of losing many members & so the church started to allow divorcees to remarry rather than have so many " newly singles" in the churches & then the church just headed down that slippery slope leading to hell by pretty much allowing for anything & everything so that now preachers like Joel Osteen are on TV saying that Jesus isn't the only way to hell because he doesn't want to lose any revenue from the sale of his books & things he want people to feel good rather than be holy & Joel is just one of the majority out there who are teaching in this manner -

Even the prophets of today don't do the job description that is in the bible of a prophet of God & their job when you read the bible is mostly to tell the people to REPENT & RETURN TO GOD follow the commandments that God wants us to follow because God wants our Holiness Rather than Our Sin Offerrings of Sacrafice,

but those who place themselves out here today as "prophets" have only good things to say because they can't collect money from the people if they tell them the Truth of God's Word to Return to the Way of the Word & Live Holy because God's Judgement is Coming Quickly  much sooner than many are thinking if they think about it at all-

Ask the question why did John the Baptist die back in his day?

John was killed for his preaching Against the Legalized Adultery of Herod & his Brother's Wife.

    The Jews as a whole nor the priests, scribes & pharasies & sadduccies didn't kill John the Baptsist;

Heroidias had John killed because she didn't want to hear what John had to say becuase the people were already talking about that gross sin but because of her position they at least did that talking about her behind her back out of her presence -

but John didn't respect her position as "queen" & yelled it out for All to Hear which was a great embarrassment to her - her Pride is what killed John the baptist, the fact that she wanted to do what she wanted to do not caring what God's law had to say about the evil being committed by her Adulterous Union,

the only reason that we Standers are living in security of our lives is because it's illegal for people to kill us; but by their evil looks, words & anger against us they're killing us in their hardened hearts.

Heriodias had the Power to kill John not only in her hardened heart but to have him physically killed by trickery through her daughter who was also her competitior at the time for Herod's affections & attentions but thats a whole nother sermon

Know that we're in good company when people attack us verbally about our Stand for Our Marriages but our reward will be in the long run a wonderful testimony for God & that YES it IS possible to live according to His Word in this day & age, it's a source of strength for those who are too weak to speak up for the Truth & it's opening the eyes of both the World as well as the congregations as to the lies that have been being pushed at us to welcome in the sinners in the new concept of the "Seeker Friendly Church" in these churches efforts to get bigger congregations rather than preaching & teaching the Truth of God's Word which is Very Politically Incorrect.

GOD IS POLITICALLY INCORRECT! God has always been Politically Incorrect which is why the jewish people have always had problems ever since their very beginging, God told them Not To Do as Those who were in the areas around them & forbid them to marry the peoples so that they wouldn't learn the bad ways but to Hold Themselves Apart - Holy a Special Nation of God &

we now today are to do the same to help lead the people both in & outside of the churches to look at God & to turn back to what His Word has to say about how we're to live in spite of what the world has to say or what our circumstances may look like at this very moment in this natural world around us - the Truth of the matter is there is a God who we've got to answer to & a life after this one regardless of what a person may want to sincerely beleive God's Word is clear in the matter &

it's only the Traditions of Men which allow for Marriage to Another after Divorce while the Covenant Spouse is Still Living & anything else other than Reconcilement ReMarriage to the Covenant Spouse or Staying Single is ADULTERY

in God's book we're NOT Released from our Covenant with God just because we were not christian when we got married, or because our Prodigal is still not saved or because our spouse has broken Covenant with us -

Our Covenant was With God as well as with our spouse when we took our wedding vows & God still holds us accountable for our end of the Covenant just as He holds our spouse accountable for the broken Covenant which is why God said what He did in the book of Malichai as well as the book of Jerrimihah about the Covenant Wife of their youth & putting away of the Pagan Wives or be cut off from the congregation

sorry that this is so long but I can only type for 5 - 10 mins & then have to get up & go strech out & then go back a little later & type some more - I started this around noon & it's taken me this long to get this finished, but I think I covered  most of what those who oppose our standing have for objecting & how to respond to them as well I hope to encourage those of us who are Standing for Our Covenant Marriages

I still can't figure out how a person can justify standing for a 2nd or 3rd marriage -

case in point & a true situation out there I know personally of a woman standing for her adulterous union for a man who has a living covenant wife & who has since moved on & married into a 2rd adulterous union (3 marriages total) so in theory there are 3 women praying for this man all at the same time -

the covenant wife who is remaining single but not obsessing over what the man is doing & living in peace doing God's work in her own church is praying for her husband's salvation & to come home while at the same time...

this "stander/adulteress of the 2nd marriage" is also praying that the man will come to salvation but be returned to her  & all the while is obsessing over the fact that he man is angry at her & has no peace with him or even her own family because of the whole "Standing" mess &

then there's new adulterous of the "3rd marriage" is praying to keep the very same man under her roof & in her bed??

meanwhile the 1st adulterous woman has a living covenant husband who she's not bothering to pray for  but for what ever reason she doesn't want to reconcile for maybe abuse or whatever she just doesn't want to remain single nor does she want to reconcile with the covenant husband...

o such deception since all 3 of these women are being supported by people praying in agreement with them to be strong even if people may not understand the idea of standing for a marriage they will respect the position that is taken if only for the fact that as crazy as it may sound the person isn't wavering & "has such faith of restoration"

Put that before anyone who wants to say that the new marriages are looked upon by God as being covenant as some groups out there are saying - what if all 3 women were to be a part of the very same group which of these would the group be in agreement in prayer with? Truely a Christian Group couldn't stand in agreement for restoration of marriage with all 3 otherwise that would mean polygamy for the man & 3 women wouldn't it?

    Hey all.

I have a question for those of you who are standing, but maybe at
one time thought it was okay to divorce/remarry.

Before I state the question, let me set it up for you.

Today at church, our Sunday school group spoke about God allowing
pain in our lives to grow us.

Well, the gentleman next to me was left by his covenant wife at the same
time last year as my husband left us, and he stated quite emphatically
that he has read what the scriptures say, and that he is at total
peace with the idea that remarriage is okay. He said that if you
divorce for fornication, then it's as if you were never married, and
    you are free to
    remarry.

I didn't know how to answer that. He has a very good handle on the
Greek, and said it's as clear as it can be that divorce for THAT
reason is acceptable, and therefore remarriage is an option.

We almost got in a fight about it! LOL...don't worry, it was civil!

I can see he's hurting, and I know I probably came across as
judgmental, but here he is already divorced, and looking at me like
I'm looney, nor did I come across as very knowledgeable.

    Oy.

So my question is...those of you who at one time thought remarriage
was an option...what changed your mind?

Thanks in advance. I don't ever want to be tongue-tied like that again!
